AIRAH Seminar – Commercial kitchen exhaust design

AOM Australia is proud to support the Victorian Branch of AIRAH in the organisation of a seminar on commercial kitchen exhaust system design. The seminar will be held on the 6th of March 2019 at the RendezVous Hotel in Melbourne.

There is no doubting Australians’ love of a juicy burger, a beautifully chargrilled steak or the latest trendy Vietnamese-inspired cuisine. Over the past five years, the Australian food and beverage industry’s annual revenue has grown by over 5 per cent per annum. We have also seen an increase in the number of restaurants, hotel developments, coffee shops and pubs evolving from watering holes to gastronomy destinations. The result is that commercial kitchen exhaust systems are now an integral part of many new HVAC building systems.

Drawing on specific project examples and focusing on the emerging trends and challenges of the sector – including safety and maintenance issues – this seminar will cover the design principles for commercial kitchen exhaust systems in terms of the NCC and Australian standards.

In addition, the seminar will cover common scope and responsibility issues between the designer and suppliers, right through to the installers, operators and asset owners. There will also be a detailed discussion about applications and effectiveness for different types of kitchen exhaust treatment systems, including electrostatic, ozone, and UV types.
